A Full Box of Kisses
The story goes that some time ago, a man punished his three-year-old daughter for wasting a roll of gold wrapping paper. Money was tight and he became infuriated when the child tried to decorate a box to put under the Christmas tree.
Nevertheless, the little girl brought the gift to her father the next morning and said, "This is for you, Daddy." He was embarrassed by his earlier overreaction, but his anger flared again when he found the box was empty. He yelled at her, "Don't you know that when you give someone a present, there's supposed to be something inside the box?"
The little girl looked up at him with tears in her eyes and said, "Oh, Daddy, it is not empty. I blew kisses into the box. All for you, Daddy."
The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little girl, and he begged for her forgiveness. It is said that the man kept that gold box by his bed for years and whenever he was discouraged, he would take out an imaginary kiss and remember the love of the child who had put it there.
In a very real sense, each of us as humans has been given a gold container filled with unconditional love and kisses from our children, friends, family, or God. There is no more precious possession that anyone could hold.
這個故事發生在很久以前，一個父親，有一天責備他三歲大的女兒，因為她浪費一捲金黃色的包裝紙。由於經濟拮据，因此當小孩用它包裝一個想放在樹下的聖誕禮盒時，他就非常憤怒。
然而第二天早上這個小女孩拿著這禮盒來到父親前面，並且告訴父親說：「爸爸，這是送給你的禮物。」這父親有點兒為昨的過度反應感到自責，可是當他打開盒子一看，裡面是空的，他的怒氣又再上升了，〝難到妳不曉得送人禮物，盒子裡要裝東西嗎？〞
小女孩的眼裡充滿了眼淚對父親說：〝爸！盒子不是空的，裡裝滿了我給你的〝吻〞，全部都是要給你的〞，
這父親一下子愣住了，他摟著孩子，向她道歉。從此，他保存著這盒子，放在他的床邊，每當他沮喪時，就取出一個〝吻〞，且想起了女兒對他的愛。
在我們的真實生活中，我們每個人都擁有一個黃金的盒子，裝滿了孩子、親人、朋友和神對我們無條件的愛，那是我們最真貴的財產。
